Math Expectations
- Homework is ALWAYS done in pencil.
- Fractions are to be in simplest form. (Unless otherwise instructed.)
- Every story problem needs a label.
- Repeating decimals are to be written in simplest form. (Where the repeating starts).
- If a problem has fractions in it, it is to be solved using fractions.
- If a problem has decimals in it, it is to be solved using decimals.
- A zero always precedes a decimal less than one. (No naked decimals.)
- A comma is used to offset large numbers greater than 4 digits. (Every set of three numbers.)
- When rounding to a certain place value, there is always a digit in that place value. (Even if it is a zero.)
- Always follow the Order of Operations (PEMDAS).
- The coefficient always comes before the variable without a multiplication sign.
- Homework is due when it is collected. If it is turned in later, it is considered late.
